Same for me.
2:10 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Same here and it is VERY annoying! Hope they get it fixed VERY soon.
2:22 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
It was always sorted by "Earnings". Now it looks like a mess with the 20+ channels I have.
2:35 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Mine appears to be sorting by
"random" at the moment.
5:01 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Yes it is random; not sure if it is effect of new ad management system.
5:53 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
New adsense reporting feature : random sorting.
7:10 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Not random, they are sorted by channel ID.
Yes, very annoying.
8:19 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
they are sorted by channel ID
(And BTW, how do you know the ID of URL-channels?)
8:55 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
No, it is by ID:
Take a look at the link for each channel in your report page.
9:06 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Aaah, yes - you're right. Sorry and thanks!
I only checked the IDs on the channel setup page, which are quite different...
9:51 am on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Talking about reporting problems - has anyone tried the new reports by "AdSense units"?
The results between the normal overview report (click "top channels) and the "AdSense units" are very different, although I use the same channels for both.
PS: To get your "AdSense units" report, go Reports -> Advanced Reports, then select "Show AdSense unit data", click Select "All" and "Group by AdSense unit" then click on the "Show Report" button...

i think it's in Alphabetical order
12:40 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
It is in order of when the channel was created. Earliest to latest. That would match with the "channel #" theory.
2:32 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
What's the point of this new sorting order?
Haven't the summer interns left Google yet and gone back to school?
4:08 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
I noticed today that my YESTERDAY earning is not sorted from highest earning to lowest!
4:36 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
I was wondering if mine was screwed up! When I look at my channels, there is no discernable or logical sorting that I can see; they seem totally random. This JUST started yesterday and before was ALWAYS the same order. Weird! I am glad everyone else is seeing it.
7:43 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Hope this is just temporary.
To view results sorted "properly" I must select:
view all AdSense for Content channels
then click "earnings" so it will sort that way...
8:58 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
Wow, that is incredibly irritating. Anyone send in an email asking them to go back to the way it was before?
I hope this doesn't last.
9:18 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
I agree, what the hell would make them do that? Ummmm, hello? It was perfect before now I have to get out my Enigma machine to decode it all instead of just glancing...I hope they do put it back the way it was.
11:39 pm on Dec 14, 2007 (gmt 0)
good post WiseWebDude xD
btw i also find it very irritating :(
12:54 am on Dec 15, 2007 (gmt 0)
Especially since the report is labelled: "Top Channels" and not "Oldest Channels". lol
Do they not have any quality control?
No wonder everything goes to pot when they introduce new features! There must be nobody (competent) performing Software Quality Assurance function for AdSense.
This is the major component of the welcome screen, for Pete's sake.
/not bitter due to lack of GoogleGift or Holiday Card, I swear
4:00 pm on Dec 15, 2007 (gmt 0)
same here.. very annoying
4:05 pm on Dec 15, 2007 (gmt 0)
They simply use:
SELECT FROM 'yourreport' where Revenue=x ORDER BY RANDOM
4:12 pm on Dec 15, 2007 (gmt 0)
Do they not have any quality control?
Yeah, I have wondered about this whenever there are apparently problems caused by them (e.g. whenever introducing new features). It is simply embarrassing for a company worth 200 Billion US Dollars to have no (competent) quality control.
Standard disclaimer: Of course, I do not want to turn this thread into a "Google noise" thread. In fact, Google can not do wrong, I love what Google does to mankind, and I thank Google for letting me make them money. And I know that I can leave Adsense at any time for any reason. ;-)

> I thank Google for letting me make them money
good one Zett!
9:04 am on Dec 16, 2007 (gmt 0)
OK, this is becoming absurd,
how many Googlers does it take to unscrew a mistake?
they had Friday to get it fixed
they had Saturday to get it fixed
We're running in Sunday and still no life at the Plex
What? Is everyone still at Larry's wedding?
1:00 pm on Dec 16, 2007 (gmt 0)
AdSense people don't work weekends.
1:17 pm on Dec 16, 2007 (gmt 0)
Almost every maintenance is done on a Saturday.
Obviously they just don't rate this mess as urgent enough to be worth doing on a weekend.
