Does google preselect CPA ads

This morning I recognized pages for reports on referrals need up to 30 seconds to render with high CPU activities on my desktop, I switched to a laptop but rendering was still very slow. I called some else to check this out, in short he came up with this: This page is about 4.200kB, one big (product selector) script which includes also 5000 descriptions of CPA ads.
This raises a lot of questions, the most interesting may be, do they pre select CPA ads for us?

Yes, if you leave the box checked by:

Pick best performing ads
Your chosen ads may not always show

If you only want your selected ads to show then uncheck that box.

Is there option there to show cpa ads contextually not by selection?

Google offers a $7,50 bounty if someone signs up for an expensive webhosting package with one of their advertisers.

At the same time our own advertisers offer between $50 and $75
per sale.

Apart from that, many ads look fairly targeted to our site.

Actually I was only viewing a report for referrals, may be the first question should be does someone else experience such a long time for rendering a reports for referral page? In the meantime this page has grown to 5MB with 6000 available referrals.

I think, not all publishers have access to all the Referral ads. They are being offerred by Publisher location and traffic origin., I think.

Google has preselected some ads for me which are not availabe in the referral list on the adsense interface.

AND I got a CONVERSION on one of the automatic selected ads. It may be noted that I did not select these ads for which I got a conversion, so maybe G does know best as to what to dispaly. After all they have tons of data to mine, while a publisher has only very limited data and some instinctive understanding of the website.
