Can I use my US adsense code on a UK-based site?
want to increase market share

I put up a similar site in the UK as my US based site. I re-wrote the content, have a UK host and UK domain name. But no adsense ads show up using my US based adsense code; (not even PSA's) do I need to apply for a UK adsense account?

Google takes a very World Wide Web view of these things.

You need the account in your country of residence; the ads can be anywhere.

In fact, they are everywhere :)

I cannot say for sure but I would think your problem may lie elsewhere. I can think of no reason why G would not allow this to happen.

There is no such thing as country based AdSense code.

S'right; local ads are served regardless of the country the code came from.
