You're gonna do this because you don't like the font they use? Way to pick your battles. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

not the font, but its extreme contrast in color and underline. and you cannot center it.

| google really doesnt ban anywho who makes them money. |
| Tell that to the people whose accounts have been terminated while they had thousands of dollars sitting in their accounts. If you're determined to do it, then by all means go ahead. Just don't expect any sympathy when you post the inevitable "I've been banned" post. And when you do post that message, please make sure you include the "I was doing something Google explicitly told me not to do" part.

Good, don't believe them. You've only been a member here for 3 days, and you've started about 10 different rant threads. Have you only been using AdSense for 3 days, or has the pressure been building and building?

believe me when I tell you yes you will be banned if caught yes, what LifeinAsia said is quite true, whether you believe is neither here nor there as jomaxx said, bad battle to pick if you blatantly break the TOS and get caught you'll get banned, that's about all there is to the story

How much could you be making if you are insisting that your tracker script "must be free"? Like the others said, go for it and teach us all how it is done. Personally the look doesn't bother me much. If it did, I wouldn't use Google. It's their game and their rules, if I don't like it, I'll play somewhere else

You must also consider that Google must provide notice that these are ads, and they must have some control over it's legibility. That's why you're not allowed to alter it. it would be nice if they gave us some options though.

yo dude... think about it... maybe you have loads of cash lying around because you don't realize your Adsense account can potentially bring in 20K, 100K, 250K, 500K or even a 1,000,000 bucks ten years down the road (or sooner). is it worth it? that's like someone handing you a million bucks in cold hard cash and you turning it down because you don't like the color of the money! or... if Angelina Jolie came on to you real hot and heavy in her most revealing pink see-through and you turned her down because you don't like pink! In other words, I'd like to see you around one year down the road, helping other newbies reach the one million that you've reached ... and maybe brag about that pink see-through you kept as a momento! don't act now, man. stay cool, think straight dude! ;)

You could write Google and give them a heads up. Or write them and request policy change wrt layout flexibility. p/g

Could Email Google and ask for them to have an option to change the Ads by Google to fit to the layout of your site the same way you choose a colour or format. It's up to you... I know if it bothered me I would just Email google and talk to them about possible solutions.

some of you didn't seem to read my full post. those who say that i should move away from google... like i asked in another thread there probably isn't much of an alternative. and those who say that i should e-mail google... i have done that many times but they never listen to my advice.

Consider that when someone raises their minimum font size less of the text fits in the box. The first thing to go is the 'ads by Google' -- and usually that's the only thing to go. If you shrink the box, ad text will disappear under such conditions. Google surely knows that and surely won't like it!

Seriously, how much of a bother is it really? I suspect the real reason for hiding the advertiser network logo/text is nothing to do with how pretty it looks. In my experience, the only reason sites try to hide or alter the logo (in this case Ads by Google) is when they are trying to obfuscate the fact they are actually ads or they may change the wording/style to encourage clicking. Personally, the statement 'i have been lurking here for years and used adsense since 2003.' is a bit incongruous with the types of questions asked by jonaspersson75 and the joining date of Feb 18, 2007.

fine. don't believe me, darkmage, but it's the truth. i have been wondering a few things for several years, but not came about to ask about them. and NO, i am NOT trying to HIDE the fact that they are ADS! please READ my original post! in it, i specifically mention that you MUST add your own "Ads by Google" text, but i made mine centered and not underlined. now it looks just like the premium accounts' google ads. do you understand? big players already do exactly this, only i have to hack around it.
