I'm seeing the same in the UK. Sometimes ads don't load at all and a server timed out page is displayed!

Could be Traveler - things certainly aren't working too well here in the UK - but I guess you're OK in Arizona. Have you heard from Khensu by the way? [edited by: Pengi at 11:53 am (utc) on Jan. 31, 2007]

All looks fine here in France. Stats all seem normal. Does Khensu still post here - haven't seen him around for ages?

Same thing happening to me. I'm seeing very long delays loading sites which I know should contain Google ads, and once they do load they have no adverts in them - I'm in London.

UK here. Sometimes they load, sometimes they eventually load a broken image.

I have been having this issue on and off for about a month now. Seems to be happening with ad links more than text ads. Sometimes the page will just freeze until the ad shows. It gets rather annoying. Glad to see I am not the only one.

Displays of ads is erratic and some just don't even show up today. I've complained about Adsense performance for some weeks now. It is the slowest part of my web sites and it delays page display considerably. [webmasterworld.com...]

This seems to be system wide today since I'm seeing it on books.google.com also. It may be related to the testing of their new home page look for the IE crowd. JAG

OK, so it's not just me then. They say a problem shared is a problem halved - but I guess not this time. Ads are still getting through but so slow and so sporadic. Anyone any ideas as to what's causing it and how long it will last?

| I talked to him last week via phone, seems he is presently moving from Phoenix to Prescott, AZ. I am pretty sure that's why he's not around WebmasterWorld lately. Wait, let me get out my deep sea diving suit and plug that hole for you Brits. [edited by: TheTraveler at 10:49 pm (utc) on Jan. 31, 2007]

They are appearing fine to me but one of my channels that normally has over 14% CTR is only at 8% today. It has never been that low. Makes me wonder if ads aren't showing for everybody.

Still very slow this morning, took a 20% earnings hit yesterday, let alone the knock on effect of the sites being unusable.

I too came here to see if anything was up. pagead2.googlesyndication.com is not loading at all. I'm also in London on Blueyonder (aka ntl/telewest), Wigwambam, and according to a glossy brochure and letter from Sir Richard which turned up in the post today, it's all about to become 'Virgin Media'. Oh God!

It's a telewest problem, definitely. I rang them today and reported it. There are no problems via BT. I'm about to remove ALL adsense ads, Google Search and Analytics from my site - it's heartbreaking (lol) - but the site doesn't work properly with them.

While ad display delay might have affected only UK or US, on 31 Jan the CTR on my sites was down to about 50% of the rather stable rate of preceeding weeks and months.

There are dropped routing problems that are affecting some servers on the net today. My earnings are down a bit, could something like that be causing this?
