Could be that there's someone else out there using your adsense code. Maybe someone who have scrapped your content without even modifying it.

No, Google never messes up the stats in that way. Seriously, I have never seen that happen even once.
BTW, I can believe a scraper site could conceivably have copied your page, but why would it generate tens of thousands of pageviews? Maybe it got Slashdotted, LOL.

"Anyone ever have a day where it shows impressions are way up above normal for no reason."
I've had it happen to me but not to the tune of 500%.

Something really strange. I show total impressions to be 110K ( vs 20-25K on normal days) yet the actual clicks are 50% of the prior days.

Almost 3 years and it has not happened once. I beleive someone is using your Adsense code.

Your website may have been mentioned on a high traffic website. You usually can update Awstats anytime.

eljefe3, if you can't find the traffic source in your server logs, you might want to report it to adsense support.

To make matters worse, the site just went supplemental the day after seeing this and all google traffic has ceased to exist.....Coincidence?
Server logs do not show any additional traffic on the day in question, so it must be a scraper or something. Very disturbing.
