nex99 - may I ask why you would want to transfer the money into a friends account as opposed to one of your own?

They will only send the payment to the person & country who is the registered owner of the account.

I think you are right about the country, tropical island but i think you are wrong about the person, in my payment details, i see the option to change the name of the person who is the account holder ;)

Cash the cheque they'll send you. Don't trust "friends" too much in this, or any, business. [edited by: Bddmed at 6:54 pm (utc) on Oct. 24, 2006]

I would like to transfer money directly from my AdSense account to my AdWords account. It cost me 2-4% of the money to transfer it today. Should be easy for Google, and will make Google even more money.

I would think that you could create a Business Account in some country on G's list.

You don't need to create any accounts, that's not what he is talking about, he only wants to transfer the money into a different account in the same country. It is possible to change the payee details using a different name as long as it is in the same country. I have done it this week, they make a small EFT deposit into the new account that you verify online by entering the amount deposited and you can then select the new account to receive the monthly earnings, irrespective of the payee's name.

miguelito, can you elaborate more please? How exactely did you change the adsense payee name? I tried and i can only update the address.... Or did you simply add a new bank account and they accepted it even if it was not open in payee name? Thank you for your answer.

I did it from my account settings, added a new bank account and edited the name at the same time, had no problems and it was verified and confirmed by a test deposit as i said. Obviously you can't change the name with the same bank account as it then wouldn't reach the account anyway if it is in another person's name :) This is for EFT settings, i don't know if you can do this via cheque delivery.

| so, can i transfer fund to my friends bank account? |
| No, the current procedures are in place to prevent money laundering and fraud. Get your own bank account. Use it for paying in the cheques. It's not that difficult!

miguelito you are wrong. when you add a new bank account you can not edit Account Holder Name. you can only enter a new Account Nickname which is for you to remeber that account and has no value. I double checked right now.

No my friend, I am not wrong, you are, i think i know what i am doing with my own account. I clicked on add a new bank account and next to the account holder's name is an "edit name" function that relates to the account holder's name, not the nick. I changed it to a completely different name and have already had the account verified and funds paid into it. I presume you are looking at the wrong screen but either way, i sure could do it on my account and it isn't anything special. You want me to send you a screen shot? I'd be happy to oblige but i am sure other users could confirm this also.

Yes, you can change payee name for EFT. If you read the FAQ while signing up they even specify that.

Could this be a difference between a personal and a business account? Anyway, the edit-account page seems to me to be https://www.google.com/adsense/account-edit when I go there the 'Payee name:' field is not editable, and I can only alter the current information, I can't 'add' another bank account. Is the same page you are editing your bank account at?
