You can't alter the code, so it isn't easy. Maybe it could be done with CSS or JavaScript (or a combination of both).

Wouldn't that be construed as "calling attention" to the ad? Ann

The "call attention to" for referrals seems to be a little different than for ads - from what I understand, you can endorse or recommend the product, in adjacent text, for example, but you can't say "Hey, click on this link right here" That said, I assumed that you can make the text link look like the rest of your page with CSS; if your body tag formats the text for the entire page, then you'd have to write something else just to undo it for AdSense referrals, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

I got the reply from Google : "In regards to the Google ads on website, we kindly ask that you do not make your referral text links as red italics when hoovering over the text. Publishers are not permitted to alter the behavior or targeting of Google ads. " What u guys say now?

You did the only smart thing when you have questions like this: contact google.... (Too bad they don't respond as quickly to everyone... I have a somewhat comparable request, but I'm still waiting for a reply...)

How can make make my link so that it shows underline on hover and also without hover and colour and font style remains same. This will increase the chances of user to click ads, cos links will have no underline effect and ads will appear identical to links. I am not using text/css Simple php page.

You'll have to do it with Google colors. I guess---:) Ann
