| The only one I found so far? Have a great web site. It's the only one that worked for me yet. Oh, and wait 1 year for each web site to get past the sandbox effect.

| In my experance not all new sites are put into the sandbox. I've had new sites start making money right away with AdSense.

CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy the root beer! I'm glad you have cause for celebration. Have a safe holiday weekend! :-) Oh, and wait 1 year for each web site to get past the sandbox effect. | I know this is off topic of the original post, however, may I ask if you were using paid advertising for the new sites that did not go into the sandbox? If not, what in your opinion made your site not go into the sandbox? I know the sandbox is controversial as some do not believe there is a sandbox, but I'm not for sure. Thanks!

Congratulations MALS. What's your next milestone? Do you use AdWords or is this all from natural traffic? [edited by: Pengi at 9:19 am (utc) on Sep. 3, 2006]

Hi Friends, I am new to this. I would like to know if traffic exchanges like traffic swarm and ts25 are allowed to promote my adsense pages. Regards, ajeet

Well done. Set a new target. Work hard and pray! Beginning of 2006 I had my first $100 month. Last month was a (rather flukey) $1000 dollar month! Flukey as I just developed a page which had massive current demand, little competition and high CTR. The page is no longer current news so back down to a $150 dollar month this month I expect.

Congrats makes a little sense! Took me a year and a half to hit my first check, that had to go to the mother board needed due to pc not being able to handle the excitement! LOL Enjoy the weekend, and be safe!

Congrats on the milestone. Im still trying to get the first milestone....the first $100 every, about 77% there... Once more I hear about the sandbox.. I hope that I am still in the sandbox, but sadly enough, I don't think so, because my ranking in yahoo and msn are suffering as well. Unless all of them hold back on a site that is 8 months old with a keyword of 80 million. But anyway, congrats, you are reminding me to fight the good fight....

Congrats! Hopefully, I can say that by next month. I put adsense on my website initially then took it off. Now I have code placed at the bottom of my pages. I just can't stomach the "in your face" adsense. I really think it is tacky. Yes, I understand people make thousands of dollars by having 3 ad units plus an ad link on each page but I just can't do it. I am keeping the units minimal and I expect to reach my first $100 if not by this month, the next. All the best!

Question, was this $100 net of direct expenses, like adwords , YSM if you're still sober & reading this :-) Anyways , is rootbeer alhoholic? I thought it was like ginger beer , kinda soft drink coke/pepsi style

yes, solely from google and yahoo. One really strange thing I noticed was that at first I got lots of referrals from google and hardly any from yahoo. Now, I got tons of referrals from yahoo (even exceeding google). Not sure why though. Still struggling...hehe.. ..thanks. I don't want to start another thread, so "make a little sense", please let me celebrate in your thread, so maybe I will get some of your lucky stars.. .hehe.. . .^^ cheers! Edit: I think soon a later, I need to do some of those paid traffic. Not sure when though. But is it a good idea?

| Heh, root beer, a true American beverage. Never met an outlander who would take a second sip of the stuff. It's a non-alcoholic fizzy softdrink, nowadays. In the old days, it sometimes had alcohol, but you'd be hard-pressed to find that did these days.
