The Rules allow only 3 ad units and one of each referral products per page. So to answer your questions:
1) Yes you can
2) No don't One final advice, 3 sky scrapers per page is really too much, sometimes less is more.

well three skyscrappers were just for the sake of example .... so with 3 ad units... can i place referral ads of more than one products like firefox and picassa?

IIRC the maximum allowed on one page is:
3 ordinary ads
1 adlink unit
1 referral
1 search
