| If I remove ads from my site for a week or so, what effect will it have? |
| Zero earnings, no money, thats for sure. [edited by: Gian04 at 1:05 pm (utc) on Aug. 1, 2006]

I have done a version of taking AdSense off a page... I have put an UN-Channeled ad on a page for a day and let it run, and then put the regular ad back on the page with a Channel hooked to the ad and the ads are much more relevant and I make much more money than before the reset. Mike

I'll try it and see. I need to do a redesign anyway. I'll report back if it helps. Thanks for the input.

| How you think this relates to the procedure and associated concepts presented in the "Smart pricing analysis" discussion? Are you saying you simply change to an ad with no channel information for one day (24 hours) then replace it? How soon did you start to realize increased earnings? How often do you perform this kind of reset? TIA Chapman

The increased earnings are the same day that I put the regular ad block back on the page. I just have a page set up with an ad block in both configuarations on my server. I just switch the name of the HTML to make the HTML active and rename the other HTML to something else that is in-active ... I keep both sets of HTML on the server. I do the reset as often as I see fit. Mike

Mike- Very interesting... thanks for the reply! I'm trying this in a section of my site that seems to have hit rock bottom. I'm using your technique but expanding it to two sets of folders which I rename. Obviously, one with channel data and one without, "hiding" the unused folder with robots.txt. Chapman

This seems to be very similar to something that happened to me. I removed AdSense from one page for Europe and Americas for half a day for two days in a row and now I'm getting higher EPC. This might simply be a coincidence, but I wanted to let you know.
