|Internal Crosslinking And Anchor Text - Only The First One Counts?|
I don't know whether it's still a fact, but from what I know, in case there are two links to the same page on a given page, only the anchor of the first one counts.
Now, if I want to place a link somewhere in the body of a page and choose a good anchor for it, the anchor won't count if there is a link in the navigation bar, right?
Sorry I can't find the experiment, but someone has tested this theory with different sites and came to the conslusion, that this isn't true.
That all links are counted, but their value is divided and possibly shunk in some way.
Other links leaving the page to another were also affected.
I believe different anchor text was used to compare results
Sorry I can't find the experiment online.
