Google Webmaster Tools Total Links To Your Site Dropped (from over 1000 to 68)

Hey Everyone,

I was hit by something right around Nov 8th and then again around Nov 13th. Went from about 50 visitors per day in Google to now 3.

Not sure what happened, but I went into Google Webmaster Tools and noticed that my total Links to Your Site dropped from over 1,000 to just 68.

Does this tell me something went wrong? This site is about 8 years old...used to rank greatly. We don't buy links, do any link exchanges, create videos and unique content for all our products and have a strong Facebook following.

Any ideas?

Do you have list of inbound links from before the drop? Could you identify whether the links that have dropped were from many multiple domains or from one/few domains only?

For example, if a site with 1000 pages had a sitewide link to your site, removing this link would result in loss of 1000 links.

There were about 1,000 domains that linked to us. I was doing some more research and found out a mod we added, ended up putting a Noindex on every page on the site! That is why we dropped. Would that cause Google Webmaster Tools to reduce the amount of links too?
