Should I change my IP?

I have a couple sites hosted in a VPS that share the same IP.

Should I assign each site a unique IP? Would Google affect my rankings for a sudden IP change?

Didn't see any change what so ever when I changed two domains to new IP's. I doubt seperate IP's would make any difference either although I've always had each domain on its own IP.

Shouldn't matter, especially if they don't link to each other.

especially if they don't link to each other.

That's the key. I've seen sites under the same ownership depending too much on each other for external inbounds... and that problem is amplified by related hosting.
