Removing my locality from exact name search results

Hey guys,
I'm at a bit of loss how to fix this.

I've gone the whole business G+ route as well as a personal page but I've connected the G+ business page to my Google Places. I'm now a verified business. Great.

Trouble is, I work and travel worldwide. From experience the most searched term is for my exact business name which now when it appears in search has my hometown directly below.

Now this might not appear to be a specific problem as such however, I'm on the coast and a lot of my work is 60 miles north in the city. I have a concern that people will search for me, see where I live and think I'm too far away, or that I don't cover their location.

I've tried to suss out how to stop this appearing. I've even changed my details to say I cover a certain area rather than just my home address. Yet, my home town endures.

Part of me is thinking to remove my Places page completely. I don't think I've ever received anything from it anyway as I log all my incoming business.

What do you guys think?

In what results set is this appearing? When you say hometown "directly below", I can't envision that in regular serps... "Below" as in the meta description, or where?

Also, is the search geo-sensitive? By that, I mean if someone were searching from a location that's nowhere near your hometown, would the hometown name still appear?
