Organic Mini Sitelinks... any updates on this?

 3:11 pm on Jul 24, 2013 (gmt 0)

Just today I noticed a long time project had these cool mini sitelinks under search result for "blue widget" type terms. Awesome!

I'd seen this for brand searches but never "blue widget" type searches. YAY!

I'd never noticed this before with this client so I'm really happy!

They seem to happen rarely, and only when the result is in position #1 on really strong pages.

I don't know if this is new, temporary, coming and going or permanent, or just a weird aberration or something else entirely (like an artifact of a browser plugin or whatever)....

Back in 09, the big G put out this announcement:

Please, have there been any recent updates on this?

Specifically, are there now ways to track this - you know, like through using a rank checking tool or other front end or back end analytic off-the shelf or custom methods?

Google has tested and rolled out so many different ways of handling sitelinks that I don't really pay too much attention. I focus less on detecting when this happens and focus more on building up my pages so it does happen.

anyone had any luck tracking this / chasing this down or is it all to randomized?
