No, there are nofollow links.
means there is no advantage or disadvantage of those links.

pkKumar, I have a couple of links from Yahoo Answers, and they don't even show up in WMT. I suspect Google doesn't pay them much attention. The only way I imagine they could hurt you is if there was something odd/suspicious about them - say, that they show up on every relevant question on YahooAnswers. Then it would look like you're building them yourself.

I wonder if Yahoo actually screens that, because I've never felt I was seeing unnatural links on there. Ridiculously uninformed responses, yes, but not unnatural links. :D

Oh, I just re-read and realized you did say you built the links. Check for patterns - did you use the same account to answer all questions? Did you happen to leave your link on every relevant question? Did your answers never get chosen as the best ones? If you can see a pattern, so can Google, and in that case you might have the type of situation disavow was designed for.

That doesn't mean you should use it. There are some people who believe you should never use it, and there are probably right and wrong ways to use it... I can't address any of that.

Didn't get the point if these links are not Unnatural, not showing in GWT. So what's he point of Disvow them.

did you use the same account to answer all questions?
around 6-7 accounts to submit question and answers
Did you happen to leave your link on every relevant question?
Yes in some answers and the anchor text is URL itself.
Did your answers never get chosen as the best ones?
Every time chosen as best answer

If you built them, they are unnatural, and therefore candidates for disavow.

Doesn't really matter if you built those links or not. If the links have a nofollow attribute on them, then all you're doing is putting "another" nofollow on them if you disavow those links.

Links that you disavow essentially are treated as nofollow links. So, it's a waste of time to disavow links that are already nofollowed.

YA links show up in Google Webmaster Tools. I have loads of them in GWT and shows up as "Pages from Yahoo"

I used to be #1 in Business and Finance in YA and was very active for several years, focusing on topics related to my websites. While I may have stopped, YA remains one of my top sources of traffic.

My efforts though were not aimed towards link building, but I just enjoyed Q&A -- plus, I usually use my answers as basis for full length articles later on. In fact, I was more prolific when I was doing YA
