I am in <a highly competitive> industry and have 2 wordpress blog websites the same but with different languages. Before January 2013 and a Google update I was ranking in top 10 websites in Google for my 3 keywords I was concentred for. Also I was in top 3 websites for Google Blog search for those 3 keywords. After January update my Google Blog search remained at the top positions but normal organic search without Google blogs has decreased from page 1 to in some countries to page 3 and most of them more then page 3. I dont think I was penalized because my Google Blog search still remains top positions. So my question is: Did Google update its algorithm to decrease rankings from keywords form blogs in normal search results? Why there be a sudden drop in my top 3 keywords in normal Google results but not in Google Blogs search? I understand that in my competition there are not so many blogs out there but production sites but still dont understand a drop just in Google organic search while remaining top Google Blog search the same. .

You didn't mention how long these two blogs have been online - and that answer would be a big factor in the analysis. But no matter how long they've been online, I think part of the answer is this: the two areas (blogs and all websites) are extremely different in competition. There are lots fewer blogs on a topic or keyword by far. because blogs are only a subset of all websites. So it's a lot easier to lose rankings in the general SERPs.
My English blog is online for 1 year and my German blog is old about 5 months. Still my German blog has a PR0 it is still in top 10 for a certain keyword. Altough my English blog is PR2 it certainly lost a lot of traffic since my main keywords aren't competitive no more. I have built several thousands links for my English blog but it seems to me I added to much anchor texts for one keyword. I checked an online checker for inbound links and it found about 2000 links coming to my website with the same anchor text. My mistake about that as it seems to me it worked for some time but now maybe not.
I thought of designing my new web site, putting the same text from a blog and also pictures and then when I built it ok to almost 60 or 70 % of material putting a 301 from my blog to a new website and then building links again for this new website but having some juice coming from an old blog.
Do you think it might work, some of my inner pages in my English blog are PR1 and by pointing them all to my main site will it be positive or negative impact on a new site?
I also thought of doing a 301 from 1 page to a new one and doing all those pages to new pages?
