I had asked them to use breadcrumbs that looked like this: home page > category page > subcategory page > detail page They want: home page > category page > subcategory page > detail page > AJAX Tab Does this defeat some of the SEO benefits of the breadcrumbs? Thanks!

But there is one important question here about the technology involved. Can googlebot discover the AJAX content? There are all kinds of AJAX functionality. Some of it is easily crawlable and some of it is pretty much hidden from crawling, at least for now.
