| Frequency of PR updates now?

how often do Google PR updates occur these days ?
a couple times a year ? Seems like one hasn't occurred for several months now. Or maybe it's just me ?
And is it still one of those things, that once it happens.. Most webmaster know all at once ? Or are PR updates more spread out these days, meaning everybody's rank isn't graded for rank all at once anymore ?

Just had one last month (or maybe earlier this month, I don't remember) But maybe every three or four months.

was that confirmed by others, or did it just change for you?
it almost seems like that's how it changes these days...different for everybody.

A PR Update was spotted by several members in early August - noted in our regular August Updates thread, but no dedicated thread. [webmasterworld.com...]
