Hello,

Is there a way to find where a site ranked let's say 3 year ago for a keyword compare to where it is ranking today for the same keyword ? Is there a website that exists that does this ?

Thank you,

There are some private, paid services that do retain some old ranking data for highly competitive keywords. You sometimes see their articles right after a major algorithm shift from Google. We're not going to list them here - because we don't want to open up promotional opportunities like that and the limitations are pretty serious at any rate.

I think that surfacing any historical ranking data of serious breadth and depth would take more computing power than could possibly be practical for a business - especially considering localization, personalization, randomization and all the other critters that inhabit the SERPs these days.
