Google Webmaster Tools Adds CNAME Records Verification [googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.co.uk] | In order to use Google services like Webmaster Tools and Google Apps you must verify that you own the site or domain. One way you can do this is by creating a DNS TXT record to prove your ownership of the domain. Now you can also use DNS CNAME records to verify ownership of your domains. This is a new domain verification option for users that are not able to create DNS TXT records for their domains. |

We've had that in the US for over a year or so. It's real simple to implement too.
EDIT: somehow my brain didn't catch the CNAME in the post, we've had the DNS TXT. We have the cname ability here. I haven't had to reverify in a while.
