Add some text as an explanation or intro to each video on each page. That way there is content to index as well as the video

a good paragraph is there before every video, but still the pages dont rank

Put a short "taster" video on youtube and embed it into the same page as your longer self hosted video..
Call them the "condensed" and the "full"..or the "30 second version" and the "5 minute version"..whatever ..
You don't notice Google ranking "daily motion" do you ? ..
So to rank your page...put out bait..where Google will bite..

Do you have an image on the page too? I see ranking problems with Google where when an image ranks the page will not rank well in natural search and/or when a page ranks for text it will not rank well in images.

i have youtube video version also on my page so i am baiting google...... but the pages dont rank unless the videos get indexed by google...

yes i have an image on every page which is actually picture/ poster of the programme/video...
but how could an image hurt a page from ranking?
