How often do sitelinks update?

I know it is all done algorithmically but does anyone know how long it takes google to change the site links of a website ?

Is the order internal link structure I see in the webmaster tools the order it is suppose to appear in.

I don't think anyone really knows how often they update. And they appear to differ sometimes depending on the query. What you see in GWT is sort of a sample, I think. As far as order - every time I've looked, mine have been in the same order in the SERPs that they are in GWT, but there's probly no guarantee.

Looking at the March Search Quality Highlights blog post. Sitelinks are updated "on the order of weeks". That's the only mention of a timeframe I've seen

I feel that the Sitelinks change occasionally when Google's testing something that involves user preferences... either on google.com or on your site.

Sometimes the change sticks, and sometimes it doesn't.
