| Sept 16-19 ranking changes - seeking more information

My long tail got pretty savagely hit by whatever change it was that went though between the 16th and 22nd. I was wondering if anyone had any more links to information about it.
So far I've looked at the following threads on WMT as well as the monthly SERP changes threads.

I think you've found everything we've got - and as time goes on, it unfortunately gets harder and harder to separate out one change like this.

I would be quite interested to know what types of sites replaced you in those areas. Junky sites or are they now wikipedia (NFL) quality type sites?
