Hi

We're having a discusion (argument?) at work regarding the position of Goolgle Maps on our site.

Recently I moved the Google Map to the top of our pages as it looks good and the amount of code is quite small.

To settle the argument (discussion?) do you think that having them at the top of the page would have an impact on our SERPS?

Thanks

Mick

An addendum to my original question.

One of our staff has suggested having things that change daily on the site to show Google that the page is changing.

The things he's talking about is: Weather, Time, Conversion Rates.

My view is that it won't make any difference.

I'm looking for comments from you guys that will prove/disprove these ideas so that I can get on with my work,

Thanks again...

I also doubt that adding a dynamic time/date area will do anything one way or another for your rankings. With regard to the position of your Maps area, I'd say just put it where it does the most good for your visitors and move on.

There's no way opinions will settle this question, nor will anyone else's experience with their site. Sometimes changing a layout helps rankings, sometimes it hurts, and a lot of the time it doesn't change a thing.
