Most Holiday week(ends) are slow traffic with exception of Black Friday (post Thanksgiving) and Christmas. This is traditional and goes back long before the invention of the Internet.

Funny, with this Panda sitting on me, there is no change in traffic. Same as always. So I have not been affected by holiday shifts. Question now is whether Panda and seasonality will conspire for even lower traffic. I typically get lower traffic after April, all the way till September. My guess is that my traffic will continue to be throttled at the same levels so there will either be no change or actual improvement. That's what I'm hoping for, at least.

If that were the case, I'd be delighted, as I have the same seasonal pattern as you. Right now, though, my traffic is following the seasonal downward trend, but it's off 40% because of Panda, so I suspect June, July and August will be horrible (unless rankings improve).

One of my websites is very family oriented. We see dips for every US holiday, almost no matter how minor. We even saw a four day weakness for Valentines day this year. It was on a Monday and we saw a slow Saturday through Tuesday. Because we are not retailing products, our Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are especially weak. Easter weakness started on Wednesday for us and we will probably see holiday weakness through Tuesday.

We had a 5 day weekend here and it has been horrible - traffic through the floor :(

Surprisingly my traffic was back to near normal for me on Monday. Subconsciously I had written-off this week however with a little luck it may be ok.
