Google is blocking my rank tracking software

Hey All,

I just want to see if this is happening to anyone else.

Lately my rank tracking software is not pulling data from G because they keep nailing me with a CAPTCHA and flagging my IP. This has never happened before and I haven't been doing anything different.

When I check Bing everything is fine.

Is this happening to anyone else? Did Google implement some type of filter for mass queries? It's not like I'm doing thousands of keywords, maybe 500 max.

Thanks,
beerSEO

I'm not aware of anything new that Google implemented in this area. I have however, been hit by that captcha before after having done a similar volume of automated rank checking calls in one day.

If you are using an automated software set the time per requests to a couple of seconds. It will take longer to run the reports but it generally doesnt raise googles red flag

I've done hundreds of thousands at a time recently and been fine. I just never, ever use more than one thread. Every time I've done something with multiple threads I've had to use proxies. Even 2 threads is too fast.
