Hello bestmedia - welcome to the forums.
I did some Google searches and found many such utilities. But I've never personally found a need for this except on sites where it's already built into the platform.
What kind of issue are you facing?

Pinging Google is generally not the most effective way to boost your rankings or profits.
Gaining more backlinks and posting urls to twitter will likely help more than a simple ping.

Ping your sitemap manually via google webmaster tools if it's out of date in the stats section.

How many links do you have Bestmmedia? You might even do it manually. [blogsearch.google.com...]
When pinging Googlebot shows up within seconds, but I'm not sure if it's the same as 'indexing.' The page is taken, or so it shows via the KB, but I don't know.
And does anyone if there's a penalty for too many pings?

As for an "official thread", you'll note in the Terms of Service [webmasterworld.com] that we don't publish anything like promotion. So a thread like that doesn't work here.

When I publish a blog post I usually have it fed automatically to the Facebook page and Twitter. My record for indexing, ranking, and seeing traffic from Google (not from FB or Twitter) after doing this is THREE MINUTES. Only hit that once, but THREE MINUTES.
Usually it's within an hour or two at most.
