I'd start with a thorough study of what those sites above you have going for them. Backlinks - type and growth Social media presence and use How many total pages on each with content that includes the keyword Placement in news, images, video, shopping, local etc - all the universal search stuff This will give you a more detailed picture of how they have succeeded, and possibly some ideas for how you can improve your game. It will also show you how big or small the job is going to be.

yeah tough job...and google doesn't show all the links...i'm pretty sure that those sites have more than the backlinks that i see..I even used Google toolbar to see them..but few links are only shown...it makes the task even much more difficult...is there any other way to view their backbones(links :))?

Try Yahoo's SiteExplorer, not a full list of backlinks but more than Google shows

| Above my blog are the sites like fitnessmagazines...womenshealthmag.... ".org" and such other government sites |
| These sound like large sites that contain a lot of information from experts. Maybe they deserve to rank higher than your blog.
