| Google Crawling Reduced 50% Since June

google was crawling hundreds of thousands of pages till mid june, but since mid june it has reduced the crawling by almost half... has anyone also has witnessed a similar trend?
furthermore please share your trend about how google has been hitting you for last 3-4 months so that we can come to a conclusion about a universal shift in pattern

I rarely see their indexing spider anymore. Yet, I'm not seeing a decline in the number of visitors to my sites. I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

The sites I work with have been showing a changed crawling pattern since June, but it's not really a reduced crawl. On average more pages are being spidered over any extended period, but the whole pattern contains more spikes - occurring on about a 7-8 day cycle,

one of my bigger sites used to get hit about once a week for >100k pgs, then about 10k on the other days - since june a very different pattern, about 20-30k per day - so, about the same total # pgs per week for me.
