Domain Name Added to Title in Google Search Results

 1:52 pm on Aug 12, 2010 (gmt 0)

I wanted to share a finding especially for new sites that are being indexed...
i have 1 of my sites that is brand new..(less than a month)...
on the title of the pages that was indexed was showing like this for the query domainname.com:
"Buy Blue widget, green widgets - www.domainname.com"
the first portion of the title tag is the actual title "Buy Blue widget, green widgets" but "- www.domainname.com" is added by google in the title...
wanna add something that if you queried site:www.domainname.com the results are normal...

any1 having these issues? how do u interpret these results?

I've never seen this - but it doesn't sound like any issue to me, it sounds like Google testing something out on a shorter title. I hope I don't see it, either. I consider short, "one glance" titles to be an asset for drawing the click.
