I need to ask few questions regarding a dramatic scene with my web traffic. I got daily 150 to 180 hits. Meanwhile I installed a new WP theme plus did a re-search engine submission (automated). Where I incedently submitted site to G o o g l e. After doing this my site hits went down to 25 visits daily, and it is happening on daily basis.. I don't know what has happend?

My question is that:

Is that due to change of site theme?

Submitting site again on Google.com, co. etc etc..

Prompt reply will be highly appreciated.

I can't say for sure, but I have seen a number of reports now where making major changes to your site resulted in a soft penalty of sorts. But to make matters more complicated, there is something going on with long tale searches and the "Mayday" update that you may want to read about.

Quite a few people are confused right now, but my advice would be to wait and watch. Keep building your site for your users and building content that helps people. Keep a long term perspective, and meanwhile we'll figure out what is happening.

Google Webmaster Tools has a report that shows you how Googlebot sees your site. Make sure your new configuration hasn't messed up how the site responds to Googlebot and other crawlers.

If it's a new site, new sites get an initial ranking boost at Google in order to give them some visibility to start with. But then the site drops down in the rankings, sometimes causing site owners to wonder why.
