Will a flash photo gallery show up in Google images?

 12:31 am on Apr 5, 2010 (gmt 0)

Hi folks - I'm about to add a personal photo gallery to a commercial site. I would like for Google to be able to index the images for increased traffic. Am I better off implementing a flash based photo gallery or s plain HTML? Thanks for any tips.

Not likely. A Flash gallery is one large swf file, correct? The only chance for swf is in video search.

Some Flash slideshow/gallery widgets load images from an XML list. You could create a secondary HTML gallery for your users that have Flash disabled. Any potential for traffic increase would depend on the HTML markup that you use on those pages.
