Google Now Forcing UK to Google News UK engine msg:3949310 3:52 pm on Jul 9, 2009 (gmt 0) Having the choice of .com or .co.uk was just perfect. If I wanted Google UK news i'd switch to google.co.uk, if I wanted Google US news i'd choose google.com. Now, it seems, that choice has been removed and I can now only get Google News UK (according to the logo).
Google has taken one of my toys away, and I want it back! ;)

Do you mean that the url stays as google.com, but the logo switches to include the "UK"?

Yes, that's correct, and the news is UK news by default. Lame_Wolf msg:3949423 5:49 pm on Jul 9, 2009 (gmt 0)
I'm not seeing that. IE6 Win XP SP2 Google toolbar installed. rustybrick msg:3950020 1:09 pm on Jul 10, 2009 (gmt 0)
Engine, does [ ...] work for you? news.google.com engine msg:3950137 3:48 pm on Jul 10, 2009 (gmt 0)
They switched it back today, so it was some kind of test. engine msg:3959043 4:54 pm on Jul 24, 2009 (gmt 0)
Google do it again!
I wish 'they' would stop messing, this is a very frustrating user experience. Why do 'they' think 'they' know better.
If I choose google.com I want google.com If I choose google.co.uk I want the UK information!
