Pagerank Leak: Multiple Links to Same Page

 6:31 pm on Apr 23, 2009 (gmt 0)

I think I may know the answer to this already, but I can only seem to find posts about this that are dated 2003 or earlier.

If on my /index page I have 4 total links, with 3 of those linking to /Basketballs/index.php and the last one links to /Footballs/index.php, do those two pages receive the same amount of juice from my main index page?

Assuming the answer is yes, then would it do me any good to nofollow the 2 of the 3 links to /Basketballs/index.php?

According the the originally published PageRank formula three links would mean three times the PR gets voted. However, it looks like that's been changed in practice and a page doesn't vote extra PR for extra links to the same page.
