Google Labs is testing audio search, currently limited to political sectors.

This is expanded access to the functionality that we discussed back in July: Indexing the Audio Part of Video Files - in text! [webmasterworld.com]

At first, you could only get this kind of search on YouTube's political channel [youtube.com]. I'm surprised that access on Google is still tucked away in Google Labs.
