| Filter or penalty? Ranking down - what are the possibilities?

msg:3582679 | 6:33 am on Feb 23, 2008 (gmt 0) | Dear all, My top keyword has been ranked well at top 5 for almost a year for Google.com, top 1 for Google.com.au, and .Ca. However, recently, its ranking downed dramatically to top 15, and top 10 for .Au and .Ca NO matter I got many good links pointed to it. I guess that there are some filters happened here, so that I can not increase my ranking. Most of the links are one-way, and no reciprocal, no paid links, and some of them are from my own other websites. Could you please tell me what will be the possibility for the down in ranking? if so, how can I pass the filter? Thank you. Lkr

msg:3582724 | 10:13 am on Feb 23, 2008 (gmt 0) | If it's local sites that have overtaken you you'll need more local links, if it's other "foreign" pages there may be a problem with your linkage. The days when a page could rank world-wide are just about over....

I have a strange filter or penalty going on my top keyword that seems to be occurring at the last step as is still good on all data centers but it's down on google.com Not that this helps you any as I've been working several months on solving the problem with no luck at all.
