Re-Include Previously Removed URLs via Webmaster Tools

 11:32 pm on Sep 3, 2007 (gmt 0)

Has anyone ever removed a url from within Webmaster Tools (or the old URL Removal Console), and then tried to re-include that url at a later date?

If so, how did it turn out? Was the url re-included? Did it get it's old rank back?

I removed some urls for troubleshooting purposes and now I'm trying to decide whether or not to go with the original urls or use new ones.

I did this with dozens of pages, and am now reinstating them.

So far, everything has worked fine. No problems.

Did the pages re-gain their previous rank?

Too early to tell, but I am optimistic.

They were indexed much faster than totally new pages that I also made. I am using G sitemaps to re-include.
