Google search traffic for "t"
anyone else seeing this?

 5:49 pm on Jun 4, 2007 (gmt 0)

Just wanted to bring this to attention to see if there is any merit to it.. when i do a web search for any particular term....if i click on any other link within google i.e images of maps the result replaces my search term with the letter t. Could google be trying to tell us something?

Well, that goes some way towards explaining why "t" keeps showing up in my referrer stats as a search term.

I see it in the referals daily. Also the t ends up in the Alexa search box?

Yeah, it started a week or so ago for me. I thought it might be an IE 7.0 issue. Very annoying, is'nt it?

Noticed this about a week ago. I'm convinced it was bug between Google Toolbar and the new Google home page layout. I.E. It occurred for me when I did a search on the toolbar for a single word phrase and then clicked on the Google Images link in the search results.

I tried to make it happen again but its working now. It could be fixed.

I've been getting "t" as a search term in my referral stats for a long, long time -- many months at least. I don't think this is anything Google plans (or perhaps feels the need) to fix.
