More news results in Google SERPs soon?
The onebox may go, and news headlines will be merged into SERPs |

Searchengineland reports: Shortly, news results will no longer be inserted into web pages using a OneBox format. Instead, they will be blended into the regular search results. --------- Wonder how this is going to affect rankings for non-news sites. Will their rankings be pushed down to make way for stories from news sites? http://searchengineland.com/070419-150004.php |

I don't know what is going on over there at Google. They planned to have the changed rolled out by last Saturday... as I understood. I wrote about what I thought were the pros and cons on my blog but to see the final result will tell the whole story. Has anyone seen anything yet - anywhere? They must be experimenting on some datacenters by now. Unless they abandoned the whole concept.

I only see it at home, which is weird because I have the same ISP at home that I have at work (which is 7 minutes away)... I have posted screen captures at http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/013264.html Very interesting and I certainly wonder how this will impact not just the regular organic rankings, but also the Google News referrals.
