I think someone would use this only if they are looking for some local product or service .. even for that I think local searches are much better options.

I use it sometimes, if im looking for a website that should be located in the UK doesnt always work but its close enough. Ive watched browing and searching habits and found a lot of people use that button!

I haven't kept stats but usage does seem high. I always use it if I am intending a purchase or looking for something at a location.

My stats show that about 50% of people search using the country restriction. I run an e-commerce site in Australia.
