msg:3181528 | 4:59 pm on Dec 7, 2006 (gmt 0) | Hi, Issue 1: Google indexes a page in my website and I can see that via cache and also users will come thru google search result. After a day or 2 it removes that page from index. Here are my observations. As long as it stays in the home page ( as latest ) it indexes. Once it moves to inside page it removes from indexing. But still the page is accessible via header tab ( call it Picture Gallery ). I tried google site maps too. That too never helped. Issue 2: Google indexes index page of a section ( call it articles ) i.e available in header tab. But never indexes the links that are present in that section. I tried Google Site Maps, and also mod rewrite function to convert article.php?catid=12 to /why_this_page_is_not_indexed_12.html But no use. those pages never got indexed. Please help! Thanks in advance.

Basically when the freshbot finds a page for the first, that only keeps it in the index a day or two. Not much to worry about in this, other than you will need to keep new pages linked from a main page longer to get them truly indexed sooner.
