|Google using DMOZ descriptions|
wrong descriptions being used by Google
| 3:02 pm on Nov 16, 2006 (gmt 0)|
The description of one of my web sites has differed from the DMOZ listing for several years. I have been unable to get DMOZ to do anything about it or other requests I make to DMOZ.
Google is using the outdated DMOZ description. I have changed the title several times and Google picks that up next crawl. Other search engines pick the real description out of the meta tag.
What's up with this?

I put this in your other item - you can use the noodp tag to override this now - Yahoo does it too.

Thanks again. I had started this thread at the same time you were posting to the other thread.
