Google sitemap and wordpress lee_sufc msg:3100924 7:59 pm on Sep 28, 2006 (gmt 0) I already have an xml sitemap for my main site, but this doesn't include details of all pages on my blog...To do this, I used the sitemap plugin on wordpress. What I was wondering is, do i need to upload this additional sitemap to my google account?

Of course, you have to upload that wordpress plugin generated xml sitemap as well. CainIV msg:3101395 5:02 am on Sep 29, 2006 (gmt 0)
You set the sitemap.xml or whatever the filename for the xml file in Google sitemaps.
You then set wordpress and check the url that it shows in the text field within the wordpress sitemaps. It should point to the same directory and file that is set in Google sitemaps.
You can add other pages in your website and set priority within wordpress, and then after the rebuild option, wordpress pings google sitemaps itself.
