I know that our traffic was WAY off as well ... the phones in our office were virtually silent most of the day on friday. Sales were ok though.
I do know that Google was spidering us like crazy. I guess my offerings to the google gods were accepted :)

I don't unsterstand it either. Traffic improved a little (and I do mean "little") on Friday, but is still WAY below expected norms.

Oddly, a cursory check of a couple of datacenters shows no slipped in my posotioning in the serps. But still, traffic from G is somehow demonstrably reduced.

we had exactly the same 30% drop starting at about that time too - we have yet to recover.

still the same here - I don't suppose you guys are uk too?
chances are this will all blow over come the new week - but its very strange. If there's any common thread I'd like to investigate it.

very low traffic on all sites, however it is sunday... tomorrow we shall really see what is up

about 30 -40% drop here since Aug 3rd

Same here. Started Thursday and has continued to drop since then.
No change in listings.
Referrals from the engines are down slightly too, but not as high in percentage.
I figured it's most likely seasonal and will stabilize within a week or two and then recover into next month.
