Google Tax Under Scrutiny Over Latest UK Filings engine msg:4613937 9:39 am on Oct 1, 2013 (gmt 0) Unless someone changes the system, this is going to run and run.
Google paid just £11.6m in UK corporation tax last year, despite revenues of £506m and a £36.8m profit, according to documents filed at Companies House. It followed a payment of £6.1m in 2011, for which the company posted a £24.1m loss on a £395m turnover. The company made global profits of $10bn (£6.2bn) in 2012. The latest Companies House filings showed Google also set aside £24m for taxes associated with shares awarded to staff between 2005 and 2011, to comply with new rules from HMRC.

If they've done anything illegal they should be punished. Otherwise it's another case of politicians blaming others for their own incompetence in framing the law, something we're quite used to in the UK.
