| Fridge currently has 40,000 monthly uniques |
| aehm, what? that is barely enough to test a site... they surely meant daily, right? I know some here have 40k uniques in less than 3 hours... or that undisclosed amount should be very low! P!

Google buys brains, personal data and patents, not sites. What made this one juicy was that you can post to it from any site and you're setting up events with friends. Both are semi-private data types that Google covets.

google the term "fridge" (at least from where I am) and they rank above wikipedia. Coincidence? I think not.

Alexa rank of frid.ge is 144,411, which looks fine for 40,000 uniques/mo. So they are "joining" G because of their technology and the brains :) I'm just curious how much do you think G paid for fridge?

Google don't care about their rank, they want the brains and the assets to oust Facebook. G+ is the 3rd (?) attempt to grab those Facebook like users and apprantly Sergy and Larry are not giving up. They will spend and do anything in that direction.
