If Google takes one more product and changes it's name to have "Google" in it, they will cheapen their brand down to nothingness. I mean enough is enough. Blogger and YouTube were kept, and that's real cool. So enough Google "something something", that's just super lame marketing. Horrible actually.

Google should study Halo 3 when it comes to voice. Halo 3 features hundreds of thousands of players online at any given time, in the same graphically rich environment, with real time voice capability... and it doesn't stutter.

I have submitted my details for the Google Voice Invite 3 times but still am waiting for them to send across and invitation email. Is there any other way to get Voice invite?

I got a Google Voice invite a little while ago. A little before this announcement actually, as a private invite from a Google employee. The main thing I needed was to have two different residences using one phone number. There are some paid services that offer this, but not a one had a local number, so our neighbors would have to call long-distance to get us. So I was surprised to find that GV did indeed have a local number to offer. That feature has been working without a glitch. I haven't really even tried any other feature. Most of the other features seem primarily of interest to mobile users and since we have very limited coverage in our area, I don't use a mobile phone except on rare occasions when I travel to a town. So I really haven't tried any of those.
