AP via Yahoo! News: Google reaches deal in Belgian dispute [news.yahoo.com]

Google Inc. said Tuesday it has struck a content-sharing deal with two organizations to partly settle a dispute in Belgium over news articles available through the Internet search engine.

i dont get how google can show newspaper content for free that joe sixpack has to pay for?

either its with consent of the content providers, but then why are they suing? or its without their consent, but i dont see G doing that.

so?
